Australia is well-known for extreme sports and skydiving is definitely one of those sports. 4. Darwin Parachute Club - Located at Batchelor Airstrip, Northern Territory, a Cessna 182 is the chosen aircraft. Training is AFF and tandem and automatic activation devices are required. 5. Just Jump Skydive - Located at Hope Estate in Cessnock, New South Wales, the aircraft used is a PAC 750XL, AFF and tandem training is available, automatic activation devices are not required, hook turns are allowed, and USPA membership is not required. There are many features such as gear rentals and sales, camping, a restaurant, bar, video rooms, coaches, team rooms, and more.

6. Melbourne Skydive Center - Located in Coldstream, Victoria, the aircraft is a Cessna 182, tandem training only, automatic activation devices are required, hook turns are forbidden, and USPA membership is not required. Features include coaches, team rooms, video rooms, camping, and more.

7. Skydive Byron Bay - Located in Byron Bay, New South Wales, the aircraft used is a Caravan 17-slot Tribune, training is AAF and tandem, automatic activation devices are required, hook turns are allowed, and USPA membership is not required. Gear rentals and sales, a restaurant, bunker, and so much more are amongst the features.

8. Skydive Oz - Located in Jasper's Brush on the South Coast of New South Wales, Cessnas and other various planes are used, AAF and tandem training is available, automatic activation devices are not required, hook turns are allowed, and USPA membership is not required. 9. Tandem Cairns - Located in Innisfail, Queensland, the aircraft used is a Bever/185, training is AAF and tandem, automatic activation devices are not required, hook turns are allowed, and USPA membership is not required. The facility features include a pool, showers, bunkhouse, camping, and more.

10. Wickham Skydivers - Located in Wickham, Western Australia, the Cessna 192 aircraft takes sky divers on both AAF and Tandem drives. Automatic activation devices are required, hook turns are allowed, and USPA membership is not required. Facility features include gear rentals and sales, video rooms, team rooms, restaurant, shop, showers, pool, and much more.

As you can see, there are many great skydiving areas in Australia. Each of these locations are located around a field or an airfield. Many times, the group may go elsewhere for the actual dive. The plane will take off at the airfield, but the actual jump will occur elsewhere. Sometimes it is all about the scenery.
